Shine On You Crazy Diamonds

Fish Jumping on Water
Video from YouTube

"Anonymous" recently commented that I should "get back to work".  Being out on the road, or, in my case, out on the water does lend a certain "otherworldliness"  [call it perspective] to the "work" of posting about geopolitics.  Sometimes, even, as happened recently to me, a writer will get a flash of inspiration, a lesson, from nature.  Sometimes, the "natural lesson" when combined with a timely and  cogent link(s) can morph into a theory, a reflection or an "insight".

A day or so ago now, while slowly motoring up the passage to Nanaimo from Ladysmith, the water was flat calm and glassy in the early morning light.  It looked like a mirror.  Suddenly, about 10 feet to the right of our boat, I saw a small school of tiny fish, like herring, leap in unison out of the water, flash brilliantly in the sunlight like a shovelful of diamonds thrown into the air, then, almost as one, dive back beneath the waves.  This scene is captured on a much larger scale in the video above.

Generally, when fish jump out of the water, it's because they're being chased by a larger predator(s).  We will never know for sure what causes any individual school of fish to jump into the air--what for them is a new paradigm, an alien universe.  The depths of the ocean contains diverse predators...from the simply larger salmon...to seals, porpoise and then the ultimate (in these waters anyway) killer whale.

I got to thinking that the mass of humanity is like the small fish...under constant threat, terror and predation from dark forces beneath the surface...forces that provoke mass frenzy, insanity and suicidal behavior.  It also got me thinking that, like David Icke is always telling us...there are different levels and/or elements in the universe--and we are only privy to the one we are in and probably unable to survive outside of it...like the small fish in that split second they are flying through the air.

Finally, I began to contemplate on the motivation of the predators...is it just greed and self satisfaction that drives their pursuit?  Or is it even more primal than that.  Then I saw the article in Fort Russ about the motivation behind the recent American government passing the sanctions against Russia.  Here is a quote:

"...But they [USrael] are incapable of being world’s first by simply being the best at everything, so they choose to stay on top by bringing everyone else down. Through various methods..."

And it seems that the small fish breeching into the air is like the history of humanity speeded up a million fold.  Each breech is a civilization reaching the pinnacle of its evolution...that is when it is "shining like diamonds"  just before it descends back into the blackness and is dragged down by the "dark forces".  This scenario is repeated over and over throughout history...and probably even before recorded history.  I started thinking about John Milton's poem "Paradise Lost" again.  The longer I live the more I believe that the blind poet was telling us about another inhabitation of this planet...by what he called "angels"...who fought a tremendous battle wherein good triumphed and the vanquished were banished to hell. Perhaps the battle was fought on another planet and the evil Lucifer and his cohorts were banished to earth where they are compelled to rule by deception---and create hell over and over again [history] to infinity.

In a post this morning, Paul Craig Roberts says that the Nuremberg trials after WWII were just another evil farce and a travesty of justice.  Remember the film "Judgment at Nuremberg"? Remember when we were all being brainwashed as teenagers into believing that this was a prime example of good "triumphing" over evil?  What else are we but tiny fish leaping and dancing in terror before the 1%?

Then, I saw a wonderful interview with Rock Star Roger Waters this morning where he provided some small modicum of hope that we are not so helpless and that we do have some small degree of control over our existence:

So, as we end our vacation with our rare contemplation of nature--up close and personal--and as we re-enter our familiar environment of M$M madness, insanity and terror propaganda...hopefully we will be able to factor in a little bit of perspective gained from reflecting on the bigger picture of life on this planet.  Perhaps, like Syd Barrett, we're all more than just tiny fish, flashing for a split second in the sunlight of human history. Perhaps we are all "crazy diamonds".

Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pts. 1-5)

Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun
Shine on you crazy diamond
Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky
Shine on you crazy diamond
You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom
Blown on the steel breeze
Come on you target for faraway laughter
Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon
Shine on you crazy diamond
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light
Shine on you crazy diamond
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision
Rode on the steel breeze
Come on you raver, you seer of visions
Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine
